What we do

Talks

We would love to come and talk to your church, youth group, WI, local group and pretty much anyone who will give us the opportunity.

Topics come from our own experiences and expertise, including:

Local wildlife - what we have and how we can help.

Bats and birds.

Volunteering locally and overseas.

University.

Ecology.

Teaching and science.

Training

We offer training in a range of environmental topics, as well as some of the other skills that we have learned and honed during our work.

Please see the training tab at the top of the page to see our upcoming sessions.

Workshops

We have bought and made a number of wildlife houses; including bird boxes, bat boxes, and bug hotels. We would love to share that knowledge with you so that you can attract wildlife to your home to.

Eco-church

Alex and Ethan have helped a number of churches to start their eco-church journey. From the basics of how to set up an account and fill in the initial questionnaires, up to more specific advice on how to improve in areas that the church might not be meeting the criteria in. We are more than happy to walk alongside you as you take steps to create a more environmentally aware and friendly church and congregation.

Walks

We would be happy to lead a small nature walk in your local area, for you and your friends or a group that you're a part of.

We have led walks for people of all ages, from 0 to 90! So no matter the age we would love to show you some of the wonderful nature around us.

Stay with us

We are now accepting bookings to come and stay at Gwynant, the house from which we run Craig y Rhondda. Set at the top of the Rhondda valley and surrounded by incredible scenery, with 4 bedrooms available. The home of John Hayden Davies, conductor of Treorchy male Voice Choir, until 1991.

Gwynant, Dumfries St., Treherbert, RCT, CF42 5PP.
